JRiver for Mac Technical Issue
« on: September 08, 2019, 09:28:58 am »

Hi,

CD Ripping is not working properly, prompting JRiver Open drive failed.

But using XLD can modify the audio format and Ripping normally.

macOS Version: 10.14

Hope the system info and log.txt in attachment will help you to quickly understand the situation.

Thanks for your help and wait for your reply!

First off, make sure you're using the latest MC25 build for macOS, 25.0.97 from here: https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php/topic,122034.0.html

To HJayZee
Yes, on my 2011 imac, with ssd, running OS 10.12.6, 'eject CD after ripping' is working well and every time. It never used to but since 25.0.50 and including latest 25.0.108 it works well, as does manual eject using the keyboard.

To Digitalychee
Mac users hit a bad patch with CD ripping on late 24.0.X and early (up to 25.0.7) builds but the MC guys sorted it out and from 25.0.34 onwards, ripping has behaved as it says on the tin. Very well, in fact.
