Bug: Delete from playing now
« on: May 03, 2003, 07:01:23 am »

If you select a file and then select menu -> Invert selection, then press delete, the files won't go away. However if you select a bunch of files manually, they are removed.

My guess is that inverting just one track is hanging MC up, preventing the delete operation. If you invert several tracks and hit delete, does it still refuse?

King: That was a bug report, nothing else...

xen-uno: Nopes, doesn't work, and MC is not hanging. Invert selection -> delete just don't work...

Could someone please try? It's a quite simple operation... :/

Btw, for your information, pressing delete in Playing Now doesn't really delete files, just removes them from the list... you can always add them again...

Thank's King! That's what I wanted to hear ;)

Anyway, using keyboard shortcut (ctrl+shift+a) works, but it seems like using the menu item removes focus from the list... not sure but it feels logical...

Yep, now it's confirmed...here anyway. If I select some files, click in the menu (open and close any menu item) and press delete, nothing happens.

that also happens (or did) if you try to stream a link that does not work, then you attempt to delete that link since it is bad. delete will not work.

i found that a few weeks ago.

So can you reproduce the bug if you follow these instructions:

1. Select a file or more in Playing Now
2. Choose Menu -> Edit -> Invert Selection
3. Press the keyboard button "Delete"

If you have the same problem as me, nothing will happen. Then we can all go out and have a nice Saturday night (in this timezone anyway) :)

Interesting.  I followed your instructions to the letter, but unlike you, everything worked as expected for me.

I am still using the 167 build, so this bug must have been introduced in the latest 168 build.
