I have problems with my Media Center installation and I want to reinstall it.
But the problem is, that I cannot uninstall Media Center.
Via control panel -> programs nothing happens.
If I try it manally via JRMediaUninstall.exe it's the same. UAC is prompted and if I confirm nothing happens. Process is not visible in task manager.
I cannot uninstall.
What's wrong? How can I completly uninstall Media Center?

Try Windows --> All Programs --> JRiver Media Center --> Uninstall JRiver xx --> Uninstall JRiver Media Center xx

The shortcut executes the same uninstaller as the uninstall entry in the control panel (programs) or if I execute it manually (as I wrote).
The problem is, that nothing happens after starting the uninstaller.
The UAC prompt comes and after confirm nothing happens. The process does not start or ends immediately.

First thought that comes to mind is antivirus/antimalware software is causing it.

Second thought is to find the version of MC you're using, e.g. MC25 and download the installer for it, reinstall it then immediately try uninstalling it again.

Disabling the Anti-Virus software was the solution. Strange.
