Can i adjust brightness for subtitle
« on: April 02, 2020, 10:55:19 pm »

Hi,

I currently have JRiver 24.... Wanted to know if I can adjust subtitle brightness.  In dark movies scenes.... subtitle brightness is too bright.
There are some subtitle adjustments in Tools -> Options -> Video -> Subtitle & Language, but was not able to make any changes....

Let me know if anyone knows if it is possible to make subtitle changes.

Thanks.

Depends on subtitles.

If its plain text like SRT … can set font color

If its PGS (used in BluRay … HD and UHD) or VOB (used in DVD) … those are picture subtitles … cannot adjust their color (technically can … but to my knowledge no software do it)

You can convert PGS or VOB to SRT … or can just download SRT

OK... I did find a somewhat solution... I was able to adjust font size... and now subtitles are not so big which in turn does not cause a big brightness due to the letter being so big.
