Media Server - No Cover Art
« on: April 20, 2003, 02:49:17 pm »

Been having this issue for the last few versions' media servers (since .147).  No cover art is being displayed for songs when the cover art is stored inside the file.  Is there some reason for that, like the entire file not being loaded at a time, or is there something I can do to resolve this issue?

On an unrelated sidenote.  When you do a coverart search, is there anyway to have MC display all valid hits and select the one that best applies?

I had this problem too.  I sort of "solved" it by locating the image file (or, in some cases, obtaining a new copy), opening it in Windows Picture and Fax Viewer and saving it.  I then re-associated the image to the audio track within MC.

Not sure why, but after doing that MC was able to display the image.  Something about opening and re-saving seemed to make a difference.

Of course, I had to re-do all the problem images in my library.
