Options/Playback/Settings (ASIO)
« on: April 18, 2003, 02:31:42 am »

I don't think this has been reported, it seems major but it could just be my system:

- Start playback of a tune (in this case, APE)
- Choose "Tools/Options"
- Goto Output/Settings

At this point, playback goes into what I'll call "hang" mode, just repeating the last second of play (stuck in loop?).

Ok or Cancel out, doesn't matter.  Requires me to stop the current song and then restart it.  Back to normal.

I'm guessing it's from the sound card driver's ASIO handling.

ASIO isn't a very multi-instance friendly system -- especially with some drivers. (playback is one instance, and configuration is another)

Hopefully Steinberg will address this in a future revision of the ASIO spec...
