Streaming Audio Annoyance
« on: April 17, 2003, 08:13:03 am »

When I stream music from the internet and the buffer runs out, Media Center will play the last like 1/100 of a second of music repeatedly.  This is just annoying.  Is there any way to make it so it just stops playing the music until it re-buffers?

Not a big issue for anyone with high-speed Internet service I am sure, but people using dial-up might run into this.

Use "WaveOut" instead of "DirectSound" in Options -> Playback

(DirectSound is looping by nature -- you may have heard games or other things loop a sound when they're busy -- it's the same deal)
