JRemote on iOS - Play entire library
« on: June 21, 2021, 10:30:44 am »

I love JRemote but I do have a couple of questions, hopefully more experienced users can help to answer.

(1) I can play by Artist, Album or Playlist. but How can I play my entire library on Shuffle?

(2) I search for a term: "swing jazz" or "minimal techno", hundreds of results come up. Now, how can I play the results, all of them without having to choose a single artist?

I am new to JRiver app. Today.
While the app is OK I am finding it severely lacking.
Shuffle library is one. (I as well use shuffle… all the time)
As well I do not believe file types can be specified. I like to play all WAV files and at other times all FLAC.
Have to use the keyboard and computer to truly use jriver.

I haven't tried but you should be able to make a Smart Playlist for each file type in the library and then play the respective playlist shuffled

That makes sense. Thanks.
Never even considered that option.

Or create a view for JRemote in MC containing all the tracks, then shuffle that

Check the Wiki for Views , you can create pretty much anything using a Rule . Any view can be added to JRemote
