Author Topic: How to use all 10 channels of the DAC for Dirac Live AND unprocessed stereo?  (Read 389 times)

Hi!
I have JRiver latest version with Dirac Live as VST.
The DAC is a Focusrite 18i20, that has 10 input channels over USB.
I'd like to have it confortable, which means just one zone (the DAC), transferring both the Dirac-processed 7.1 channels plus a 2ch downmix without Dirac processing.
Unfortunately, I can't find a way for this: even if I open the DAC with 10 channels, Dirac looks at the first 8 and "cuts away" the 9th and the 10th where I previously copied the original stereo channels.
So I went for two zones, adding a stereo DAC, but as soon as I link them... whenever I play something over the WDM driver I get stuttering sound.
(More details:
- both the two link zones use ASIO drivers, set with max buffers
- I can see only the WDM driver, in Windos
- the JRiver ASIO driver is enabled, but it's not visible in Windows).

Is there any chance to have something simple, i.e. without having the need to manually switch unlinked zones?

Thank you!!!

To whom it may concern: I solved it by exposing two channels via the Focusrite control panel.
Then I used these for a second zone, in which DSP processing is not applied.

This works for reproducing music from the MC library, and not via WDM driver. See dedicated thread for this problem.
