Changing CDs without pressing stop
« on: March 24, 2003, 09:12:03 pm »

Almost every MediaCenter build I've used has had trouble playing CDs in some manner (especially 133 :o).

Most of the time, if I eject a CD that's playing, I'll get a popup message saying it can't find the current CD, and you have to press cancel...then it searches the database for the new CD that was put in...many times this crashes the program.  I also get this if I shut down the program, and the next time I start it up with a different CD in it, but it still has the old CD in it's Now Playing playlist.  It can get pretty agrevating, but it's a good thing I have most of my CDs ripped to APE, so I usually use CDs when friends bring some over.

Any idea why this happens?  I'd like to see it not crash, for one, and not have to get a popup message telling me that it can't find the old CD, for two.

thanks for a great program, otherwise!
