Hi everybody,

I wonder if you can help us to solve one of the mysteries of Media Jukebox.

We received multiple reports that Media Jukebox leak memory while analyzing audio. All our attempts to reproduce the problem have failed.

Here is information we need from you if you can reproduce it:
1. Version of OS.
2. Type of media file being analyzed.
3. Does the file have ID3v2 tags.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I've never been able to reproduce this on command.  I can run a batch of 3000 with no problems, then start another batch and have it die around track 200.   I can then restart the whole process with track 1 and it will get through the first 3000 and another 3000 to boot including the one that started the first cascade.  I'll then re-analyze again starting at track 1 and will only make it to track 1500 (which it analyzed twice before successfully) before it dies.

To be honest, I do not know the answer to your tag question. I've never kept track of what type of tag I am using.  How would I tell?

It was very repeatable on my system, I just finished doing replay gain analysis on about 18000 files. I could only do about 500 before the program would grind to a halt, sometimes much less, never very many more.  I would get virtual memoery errors, so I added a huge pagefile, that made the messages stop, but the program would still eventually crash.
