Lyrics box: Can it be non modal?
« on: March 16, 2003, 11:37:43 am »

Just a small thing but could the lyrics entry box be changed to being non modal but still staying on top so that if you are trying to transcribe lyrics you can still control playback??

Cheers

i am not sure what your saying but i like it the way it is, but if the template can display it (not sure if there is one) that would be good. or if there was an option in the properties window that you can change to go to "Lyrics" window where it may display Lyrics And Also The Coverart.

Since the coverart window is mostly blank, if a file had lyrics it could be displayed there.

What I meant was if you were transcribing lyrics by ear directly into MC and you missed a lyric.  At the moment, because the lyric entry dialog is modal therefore meaning you cannot use the transport controls, you have to save the lyrics, rewind the track reopend the lyrics box and carry on.  If the the lyrics dialog was non modal you could use the transport controls without having to close the dialog first...  That was my point ;D  I am not quite sure what you thought I meant LOL

I have just realised what you thought I meant.  I was talking about entering lyrics not displaying them.  Hope this sorts out the confusion
