MC29 WIN-10 no sound output to standard device
« on: September 15, 2022, 10:24:28 am »

since MC29 the sound output to standard device (WASAPI) is not working -> s. screenshot error-message
i try -> output to standard direct device WASAPI-> no error-message, press play in MC29 -> no sound and no movement in the progress bar (s. screenshot)

MC29 is working only with output to the dedicated direct sound-device -> same situation with all my other DAC's

Follow the advice in the first error message.  Try converting to 48Khz.  Try others.

What is the device you're playing to?

setting win to 48khZ ->no, settings to 44.1 khZ (s. screenshot)->no
when output device in MC29 is setting to WASAPI-system-standard-> error message (s screenshot)
when output device in MC29 is setting to direct-system-standard-> no message, but after press play-button there is no movement in the progress-bar and no sound

What Jim meant was using DSP Studio > Output Format > Sample Rate and setting all sample rates listed to 48,000 Hz.

Some devices, like Bluetooth devices, only support 48 kHz and not 44.1 kHz so resampling everything to 48 kHz is needed. The system mixer along with other apps and players don't display an error because the system mixer usually automatically resamples in the background without informing.
