I responded to JimH's "A Day in the Life" posting and was emailed the hidden codes and password.
Everything worked perfectly for me! All of my settings (including linked zones) were preserved.

This is what I did:
(1) Updated my IdPi to MC 30 -- After entering the password it went to 30.0.23.
(2) Reverted to MC 29 -- Password wasn't required for this, it returned to 29.0.50.
(3) Gave Revert command again -- IdPi stayed at 29.0.50.
(4) Updated IdPi to MC 30 -- Again, after entering the password it went to 30.0.23.
(5) Tried the normal "12 - Check for updates" -- stayed at 30.0.23.

I'll now use the IdPi for music and will update with any difficulties, but I don't expect them.
