Trouble Restoring License Code
« on: January 11, 2003, 06:35:45 pm »

Trying to install MJ on my new PC, and trying to restore my license via the 'Help->Restore License-> From Internet' menu item

I don't have the reg #, so I hit the link to have it emailed to me.

I enter my email address and submit the form, but then I get a message that my email addr was not found!!

i'm using the same email address that I used to register MJ. I have the confirmation email still from the registration purchase.

my email is stlombo@yahoo.com

WHat am I doing wrong??

what version did you buy?

that online restore is for owners of MJ8 and MC9 Only.

if your license is older you should have backed up your license to disk.

you can restore from that disk

if you did not save the license to floppy disk then your out of luck. J river can not issue a new license for MJ7 and older.

MJ8 will work with a MJ7 license if you have one it would be called MediaJukebox7.rrg it does not work with older licenses.

MC9 will work with a MJ8 license bought before Dec 3rd 2002 I think it was.

If your license is not a current license it would be best to Buy MC9.
