How can I back-up (export) my MP3's??
« on: February 27, 2003, 03:28:47 pm »

I'm evaluating MC9, and like what I see so far.  I intend to use it (at lest for now) solely for my MP3 collection - editing tags, uploading to my iPod, etc.

When I make a change, let's say I edit an MP3 tag, exactly what changes?  I assume it changes the tag on the file on my ***PC's HDD*** (not my iPod), correct?  My iPod's database remains unchanged then until I sync or upload to it, correct?  Thus I assume there is no need to backup my iPod's database - as it already exists on my PC.

Do I have this right?

I don't deal with ipods or any handhelds, but my guess is that you have it right. When tag changes are made, they are saved on the local hdd.
