Request: C64 SID support
« on: February 28, 2003, 02:38:53 pm »

Just found an old folder on my computer, filled with nostalgia! A bunch of C64 songs!!!

Is it possible to play .sid files with MC in any way? I know there was a Winamp plugin that made this possible, but I'm not really keen on installing Winamp again... ;)

Thanks for listening!

The Winamp plug-in might work.  Try it.  You just need to put it in the plug-ins folder.

Thanks Jim! It works... unfortunately you can't switch between in-file songs, nor can you fast-forward...

So if you ever come to have a spare moment, please consider addiing native support... after all MC stands for Media Center! ;)

Oh sure.  What next?  Amiga game tracks?

Poor Jack Tramiel.  He wanted MC.

Google: Who is Jack Tramiel?

Answer: He was an early pioneer in computing.
The story is deeper than I knew.

The Game Maker Godfather

It is hard for me to believe people don't know who he is.

Is that a sign he is too old or too young?

You (and I) are way older than you (or I) think.

Listening to: '07 - You've Got a Friend' from 'Tapestry' by 'Carole King' on Media Center 9.0

And you were on the other side of the line in the sand (Atari Vrs Commodor)

I had a Commodor Vic-20, then moved to Atari Computers With All The 8-Bits, Then 16 Bit ST's

Then dumped them because i seen the writing on the wall.
