red october JRVR video mode broken ?
« on: June 03, 2023, 08:36:40 pm »

Installed MC 31.0.17 64bit to test.
When I played a movie I got a screen that looked like something
out of a scifi movie. Frames of movies were nothing but colored outlines.
A few movies seem to play fine but if I double click in full screen the movie
displays in the small display screen as noise. Video Mode was set to Red October JRVR (recommended). Same as MC 30 which has no problems.
Movies played normally in MC 31 when video mode was set to Red October standard.

Did you try rebooting?

Yes I did reboot and no change. Only difference between
MC30 and 31 I can think of are possible changes to the
Red October JRVR settings.

Well I guess I am the only one with this problem. I installed MC31.21 and problem is the same. I am using exact same settings as MC30. I have a Gateway computer SC2803 but have never had a problem like this. And rebooting does not fix problem
MC 30 may be my last upgrade.

That looks like a video driver problem.

Try other settings for Red October, just to see what happens.
