Setting up individual channel parametric EQs

Hi folks,
I'm seeking a little information in setting up parametric EQ filters calculated from REW. This is my first time at this caper and I'm not particularly well-qualified to do what I want to do.
Anyway, I've acquired EQ files using REW for L, R and L&R combined at my seating position and I exported the L&R combined file using mini-DSP format (44.1KHz). This was successful and the music plays (through my Wadia di122) very nicely. But I have two questions. As my L and R eqs are a little different to each other I was wondering whether I could load each file separately into MC31 so that I can eq L and R separately rather than have a combined eq, which I guess will be a compromise for each channel. In addition, the format for export from REW implies 44.1 KHz frequency - what happens if I play a recording with high resolution? I have tested a couple of tracks at 96 KHz and they sound fine, but I'm more of a cloth ears than a golden ears, so I may be missing something.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Yes you can eq each channel individually

https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php/topic,129609.0.html supports import from rew to MC without requiring the use of a raw biquad export (which is frequency dependent)

Great, thank you for the advice, you've done a fantastic job developing that app! I think I'm confident enough to follow your instructions, but I still have a question. In the DSP section of MC I can only see a way to import one PEQ filter, which is why I chose to import just a combined L&R filter. I can see two buttons to activate PEQ; is that where the L and R individual filters are input or is there a setting in another page that allows assignment of L and R? Or does the filter file itself specify whether it is for L and R?
Also, when you say biquads are frequency-specific, you mean that they must be set up individually for each source frequency -  44.1, 96 etc?

I don't know where you see that, you can add as many filters as you like. Best to show a picture of what you're looking at.


Also, when you say biquads are frequency-specific, you mean that they must be set up individually for each source frequency -  44.1, 96 etc?
I'm saying don't try to import biquads, just add the filters directly

Bingo, all works very well, thank you for your assistance and perseverance!
One final question - a rather heroic set of filters was produced by REW, including a pair quite close in frequency one a boost and one a cut. With my old Behringer GEQ they advised against having cut and boost in adjacent sliders. Is there such a principle in operation with the more modern PEQ software?

There is no problem doing that, rew does tend to produce such filters as it lets it shape things in a certain way. I assume you're using the generic filter type in rew for use with jriver?
