Mac with out Airplay 2 support ?
« on: August 17, 2023, 07:59:41 pm »

Disappointing to see that 31 still does not support Multiple Airplay / Airplay 2 devices.  Airplay is standard for any Apple ecosystem.

JRiver really is not meant to interact with Apple's various protocols.  It doesn't really talk to Airplay directly.  It no longer syncs with iPods or iPhones.

JRiver is best used with a locally attached DAC.  In that configuration, MC is very stable, predicable, and mature.  I still think it's the best player on the market for use on a Mac.

I think there are third-party solutions to get Airplay working with Media Center though, like Airfoil if I recall correctly?

I don't work for JRiver... I help keep the forums safe from "male enhancements" and other sources of sketchy pharmaceuticals.

Yes. Airfoil from rogue amoeba is excellent and completely solves the issue of multiple airplay devices. Well worth the one time fee.
