DSP preset can't be ported between windows and linux
« on: October 09, 2024, 01:47:15 am »

the attached file reports as using channel U1 in Windows but channel RTF on Linux which is an unknown channel to both it and the 5.1 layout

it was created in windows MC 33.0.29, saved to a dsp file and then loaded into linux MC 33.0.20

what is channel RTF?

RTF is right height front.

That's now used on Windows when doing 10 and 12 channel output.

Ok I see. It's a 5.1 config though so still must be a bug.

We added those channels then moved them to the end of the enumeration to help tools that depended on the order.

Linux might still be using the order we had at first.
