ever since I upgraded from mint 21 to mint 22 dependencies are broken and mediacenter can not be installed on linux mint 22.  the libraries are updated and won't install any deb packages and if you try to fix missing dependencies it breaks linux mint. thank god for timeshift. So that being said, I hope to see a newer version of mediacenter with updated dependencies. I've been using the windows version for years now. I've played with linux over the years and trying to transition to linux now.

Have you tried installJRMC?

It should automatically select the correct MC repo for your Linux Mint version. Mint has always had some thorny workarounds so if you run into issues, run installJRMC with the --debug option and post the output in that thread and I'll try to reproduce and fix.

That worked out great. Thank you. Sorry I did not get the output. After unzipping the file, I double click the file and it installed. Thanks again.
