Background: With few exceptions, the Options Tree submenus (right panel) always open in a fully expanded state. When adjusting just a few specific parameters, this action is cumbersome, especially for Option Categories which require a scrollbar hunt. It’s often difficult to see the forest for the trees (of course the Search is a valuable help, but still...). Currently, LMB on any submenu heading immediately collapses that submenu, which is very useful. However the user must still march through individual submenus to close them one at a time whenever the Options Popup is reopened.
Requests:
(1) Please provide a way to easily Expand All/ Collapse All Option Submenus, on a per category basis. It would be great to have something like MC’s main Tree, where RMB on the top level of any listed item (such as an Audio View) brings up an Expand/Collapse menu option. In an analog for the Options Popup, RMB on a left panel category heading would bring up similar menu lines affecting the right panel display for that category. Naturally this also begs for "Expand All" and "Collapse All", acting across all categories in one fell swoop!
(2) Once a user has set up a combination of expanded and collapsed submenus per left panel categories, MC should render that view every time the Options Popup is closed and reopened, until user modifies the display. It's OK to fully expand most submenus (current behavior) as the default when user has not collapsed them.
Examples: Attachments show Fully Expanded, Fully Collapsed, and Partially Expanded option submenus. These states should be easy to set up and should be remembered.
