Nomad Jukebox 3
« on: December 02, 2002, 06:42:23 pm »

I have installed the plug in for Nomad Jukebox and Media Center does see my Nomad and I can see all the files.  I can't play a file from it through Media Center.  I know some people are using this to manage their nomad files so please tell me how you are doing this!  I get a message saying to make sure files aren't being filtered.

The Nomad Jukebox Plug-in does not currently allow files on the Nomad to be played from within MJ. With a new SDK from Creative, this may become possible.

Steve,

Does that mean that the Nomad plug'in only allows you to manage files (such as "copy to PC") but there is no way to play direct from the DAP yet ? Tooooo bad  :'(

PrinceGanesh,

Unfortunately the answer is yes. We can try to patch something in so this will work, but we can't do it currently.

Sorry.

This is not really true dear Steve, it is possible to play mp3 directly in streming from Nomad Jukebox, Zen or Nomad Jukebox 3; it's also easy save playlists by Creative device, and always using Media Center DSP Studio!
In what way? The answer is simple: JBHTTP 2.0.2 server that has inside the fantastic JBDirect code (thank to the mythical Alain).

Steve, I've always thought that you and Alain could make great things togheter for us Nomad lovers! In particular now that Media Center has the great autosave 'Imported Playlists'.
So Nomad's friends, don't wait longer and get a look also to JBHTTP, its price is zero!

1 - Install it.

2 - Connect the Nomad

3 - Run JBHTTP and right-click on its icon-try\JBHTTP Main Page, or point your browser to: http://localhost:8880/

4 - It's all, but at the beginning try to play a Nomad playlist from Jbhttp Main Page and it will be magically auto imported by MC's 'Imported Playlists'!!!

Good enjoy to you all!!  ;)

PS: Steve have you found and tasted Sambuca Molinari? I'm leaving to spend a fantastic month in Brasil and I'll read doubt or replies when I'll come back to Italy at the next month.
Sorry for my english, but I'm a little in hurry, my areoplane is taking off...!   :o
