Changing from 8 to 9
« on: November 29, 2002, 02:47:22 pm »

I'm hesitant to post my questions to the Interact board  because I am such a tech-deficient and primitive user.  I loaded the new version last night.   All was well until it wanted to re-something the media library.  It got to about 400 + files and reported an error.

I reloaded the program.  Then I imported the files.  It imported just about everything - from music files to program files.  Fine.  I figured I needed to tell it which files to import.  (Not that I know which ones, besides mp3 .)  When I looked at the media library under audio - artist/album, I realized it had only registered some of the files.  Also, on the ones that were there, the first letter of most of the name descriptions was odd, as if there were two or three letters written over each other.  The playlists were all intact.

So, my main problem is accessing all the music files and eliminating the unnecessary ones.  What do you suggest?

Thanks in advance for your help.

well it is best to keep your music files in something like c:\my music\ and just scan that one dir

but if you go to

"File"
"Library"
"Import Media"
Select "Advanced"
Select The [] Box this will unselect all and then go down the list and select "MP3" to start with and do a scan.

there are some windows Media Files also Like "WMA" you can try scaning for.

Listening to: 'Listen To The Music' from 'The Best Of Doobie Brothers' by 'Doobie Brothers' on Media Jukebox Charted At 11 In 1972

If you play this song and really listen to it, this is what i like to do.
