Saved my license info, uninstalled 8 then installed 9. Won't restore license info. Tried the update patch for this issue, doesn't work. Can remember my old email address, have no idea what the password was, used all the ones I generally do. Don't feel like shelling out more money for something I already paid for. Have XP I quess I could always restore system prior to upgrade , but that seems a bit extreme.

On the restore page, read carefully.  If you know your e-mail or your old e-mail, it will send you the license.

What license did you have?  What version?  V7 licenses can't be restored.  You have to have them on a floppy.

There are three ways you can restore.
If you have your Registration Code, enter it here:
 

If you don't have it, we can e-mail it to you if your address hasn't changed

If you need to change your e-mail address, you will need to know your old e-mail address AND your password.

I had version 8 prior to this, but my original was 7, and I successfully upgraded several times through the 8's.

Went back to other hard drive where 98 is loaded with MJ restored license to floppy, rebooted to XP tried to restore license, didn't work.

A version 7 license will NOT work with version 9. It does work with version 8.
