Ripping multiple CD,s

When I insert a CD after look up, the CD starts playing when I would rather it start ripping and not play.

Is there a way in version 8 or 9 to, upon CD insertion, to have the program start ripping the CD and NOT start playing the CD?  I am trying to rip 500 CD's to my hard drive and stopping the program from playing each CD and then selecting rip is a pain.   Auto rip in 9 doesn't work.

That's because Windows has the drive set to "auto-insert" and it automatically opens an application for it.  Disabling it is different in each version of Windows.  Try a google search for instructions or check at the Microsoft site.

XP calls it "autoplay".  Open Windows Explorer, right click on the drive and choose properties.
