MC doesn't show m4a tag info from itunes

We currently do not have a way to read AAC file tag info.

the aac files are also not showing the tag on Ipod when uploaded with mc. When uploaded directly from i tunes it works OK. will that be sorted in later builds ?

I would imagine that once they figure out the tag info, it will be supported on the iPod.  My understanding is that the program syncing to the iPod has to write the appropriate tag info the a database file on the iPod.  If MC can't read the tags yet, then they can't be written to the iPod.
