You might try reading some of the other posts here on similar problems.  Other CD burning software can interfere and may need to be uninstalled.

For example, try a search here for "incd".  It's part of Nero.

I am logged in with admin rights and have a cdwriter log available for review if you are willing.

Thanks,

I spent 4 hours going through the last 75 pages of questions in this forum earlier today.  Previously I have performed several searches in an attempt to use prior resources.  Two posts appear to have the same issue I am experiencing, but the last entries refer to requesting the user to send a cdwriter log file and no followup was posted.  I have sent messages to the two individuals who have experienced the problem, but they have not replied as of yet.

Try this:
Go into Tools/Options/Device and in the box titled "Action to perform when media is inserted", set all actions to "Nothing" and uncheck all the "Ask every time" boxes.
Then restart MC and see if it works better.
Let us know.

Thanks!

Tell us more please.  What's the sequence of events / any error messages displayed.  What are your rip / burn settings etc?
