With a playlist or group of selected group of audio files Version 9.0 would display at the bottom of the screen the total duration as hh:mm:ss. Version 9.1 only displays it as, for example 2.7 hrs. I would find it helpful and more accurate to have the other display.

The new way you only need to deal with one unit instead of multiple units.  Like saying "16.3 gallons" instead of "16 gallons, 5 tablespoons, and 1 teaspoon." (or whatever)

I think it's easier on the brain, but everyone else around here tells me I'm wrong.

So I dunno, but it's easy to change if there is a clear preference.

People usually find what they are used to using to be the easiest. Most of us don't think about our day only in hours. (Actually.. I can't remember the last time someone said to me... "Meet me at [whereever] in 2.75 hours.")

I suspect this same logic applies to why the US still deals with those silly imperial units....

There is a lack of consistency in what we might consider normal...

"Meet me at [whereever] in 2.75 hours."

And when was the last time someone said to you, "I'll be done in 1 hour, 30 minutes"?  It seems more natural to say "an hour and a half" or "90 minutes".

I propose that we're good at only dividing an hour in half.  Any more (thirds, quarters, tenths) and we prefer minutes.  Tenths are particularly problematic, because intervals of six minutes are not very intuitive.

I've often wondered why we've failed to move from base60 for seconds and minutes and base24 for hours.  Sure, in the days of the sun dial, it was (is?) convenient to divide 360 degrees into 15 degree intervals (for a total of 24 intervals).  But why divide 15 degrees into 0.25 degree intervals (for a total of 60 intervals)?  And why divide 0.25 degrees into 0.004166...  intervals (for a total of another 60 intervals)?

And 60 Hz AC power...  what's up with that?  110 (120?) Volts?

Oh...  but I digress!

The one at the bottom showing playlist duration really doesn't seem too critical to me, so I can go either way with it, but that "last played 10080 minutes ago" for making smartlistshas got to go.
