CD Filename and Sequence Burn
« on: November 18, 2003, 03:03:50 pm »

After highlighting a list of albums/tracks to burn onto an MP3 CD, a CD Filename and Sequence Number are generated.  The CD Filename is usually shown as E:\Artist\Album but sometimes it shows as a mixture of E:\Assorted\Album and E:\Artist\Album which then upsets the Sequence of how I want to burn the albums/tracks.  Wondering how the dodgy CD Filename 'Assorted' is generated.   Is there a setting I've missed somewhere?  The filenames all include the proper Album/Artist info.

By default, MC uses "Assorted" for artist name when there is more than one artist on an album. To change this behavior:

Click the Options button in the burn dialog. Select "CD/DVD folder naming" and then "Custom...". Uncheck the option "Use 'Assorted' for [ARTIST] on multi-artist albums". Now your folder names should reflect the individual artists.

Thank you, John T....many good fortune times will come your way.

I see my problem now.......the file name that caused the 'assorted' category to be created included an extra one digit field as an abbreviation of the album name....eg, Artist-x-Track.   Won't do it again.
