I had a problem when I tried to transfer about 1000 tracks in one go to my Zen xtra. MC9 just closed down. I overcame it by transferring them in smaller chunks. It seems happy with 3-4 hundred at a time.

I retested this today using MC 9.1.313 transferring 2000 files from a sync with multiple playlists. No problems. Any more information you can give might help.

Thanks,

I had similar problem but it seamed to relate to just a few files that no matter what I did, would freeze while trying to transfer.  I had this problem with about 4 files out of a total of over 9000.  I have not had time to look into what was unique about these 4 files that might have caused a problem.  MC9 does not give an error message, it just freezes and you have to reboot MC9.

I also had a similar problem while trying to do large batch conversions of my APE files to VBR MP3 files (so that I could transfer the MP3s to the Nomad).  Some tracks would not convert and the system would freeze.

BDR,

Can you email examples of these files so I can test them here?

Thanks.
