Sound problem

This has been posted several times over the last five months:

If I set MC to play music continuously for an extended period of time, the output sounds great for a while. Then, for no apparant reason, the output suddenly gets jumbled. If then stop playing the current song and hit play, the sound returns to normal.

This is likely to be a sound card driver problem or similar.  Here's an example:
