Synchronization problem
« on: December 06, 2003, 04:39:43 pm »

I have a 30GB new generation iPOD and have been happily using it with a MC9 (v 9.0.180) and my PC.

I recently encountered a problem where I cannot synch but I still had all my songs on the iPOD.  I tried to reset my Ipod, which didn't work then I reformated the iPOD via MC9.  Understandably all my song are gone from the iPOD but I still cannot synch.  When I attempt to synch I get a small error dialogue box with an "h:" and a big red "x".  The only choice is to click OK and then it reurns to MC9 but it doesn't tell me what's wrong.

I'm stuck.  I remember reading about someone who had the same issue but I cannot remember the solution or find it in the postings.

Can anyone help?

atticusx,

After the reformat, can you click on the iPod drive letter without problems? If so, at what point in the synch do you see the error box, after the synch is finished or when?
