APE-MPC-OGG tags question
« on: December 16, 2003, 03:22:26 pm »

Ready to use le KingSparta plug-ins.

But ,some questions:
I will not keep this APE files--sorry Matt ,but i'am speaking of around few thousands cds to rip in the time to come
I will convert this APE in 3 formats:

-MPC for me
-OGG for a friend taking it from my FTPP
-in MP3 for some of them for mp3cds to friends

If i tag the APE files
art sleeve in folder- bios-lyrics-year-genre ect
I will still have it in all the other format?

Most important in OGG and MPC.

I would like to use  APEv2 instead of ID3v2

Is it possible with OGG and MPC?

But ,i understand there is some tags values only ID3v2  compatable.
I'am right?

If yes
Which tags i cannot get in  APEv2 ?

There is a way to have bios in the folder like art sleeve but visible in track info when playing the song?

There is a way to have more than front art sleeve shows in Track info?

You can use APE 1 or 2 and ID3v1 with MPC but not ID3V2, OGG uses a specific tag system similar to APE2 tags, with MP3 you can use ID3V1 and V2, and APE 2 ( don't remember if APE1 is also suported ) anyway you can't use APE 2 tags on mp3's with MC ( maybe someday )

Also, all of those file formats will hold any tag information you throw at them. (regardless of the tag format)
