Media Library Management

Hi MC,

One of the greatest benefit of MP3 is the ability to rate the music and use the smartlist to create playlist where it can select songs which we enjoy.

Potentially we might be keeping a few libraries, and between PCs and notebooks.

MC does well synchronising with iPOD.  This is a very good feature.

Can any improvement be made to help transport our libraries across PCs and notebooks.  For example, we can archive a library (the library and the media files) into a package, and import it from another PC.

Next, can we have the ability to snyc the tags between libraries, so that we can use different PC to rate our files and update them across the machines

I also notice that if I use a media server, and access the music from a notebook in a LAN, the libraries are not synchronized.  If I change the rating in the notebook it does not get updated into the server.  Any way of improving this?

Basically, we have grown to use MC extensively.  I have a master media server which stores all the MP3 from my CD collection.  I also download some of the playlist into a notebook for mobility, and a copy in my iPOD.  Can I have a better synchronization between the server and notebook.  For example I may spend some time to change the rating in the notebook, and hope to have it synchronized with the server.

I hope understand this request from the usage I have.  I hope this can be improved in v10.

Yes, I also support synchronisation of Media Library / MC Layout (View Schemes, Column Views, Settings) between a PC and a notebook or other pc's. We should be able to select portions of the library as we might not have the same amount of space on a notebook, especially if we use ape format for music.
