Volume Leveling
« on: December 28, 2004, 08:14:05 pm »

Hello everyone, happy holidays!

Is there a way to level the volume for all songs in an existing playlist?  It appears that the normalization function in Media Center is used for ripping and burning, can it be used for an exsiting set of MP3 files in a playlist?

Thanks,

Frank Z.

Go to DSP Studio/Replay Gain and play around with "adjustment" and "mode" settings to see if you can get what you want. Make sure you have "clip protection" on.  It would also help to "replay gain" the tracks before you play them. That's done by highlighting the files and right-click>library tools/analyze audio".
