FILE BACK UP
« on: February 03, 2004, 02:58:48 am »

Having had problems in the past I decided to buy an external hard drive to back up my music but have noticed that not all the files have been transferred eg I had 3 Ryan Adams albums but only one has appeared on the back-up drive. They were all on d drive and in mp3 format. Any ideas?

I have no immediate answer but the following may help members of the forum to help:

What is the directory structure of the original files?  Is it something like D:\My Music\Artist\Album\Track.mp3?

What software did you use to transfer the files to the new external drive?

If you have the \Artust\Album type structure did any other artist with multiple albums transfer OK?
