Media Server error
« on: February 10, 2004, 10:10:36 am »

Using version 1.0.192 of media server and while using PC1 have
PC2 in the network playing songs from PC1.   Works for a few hours but then get this error in MS of PC1:  TCP-write failed error-10054.
Any ideas what is causing this to happen?

Media Server is unable to continue sending information to the client.
Are you using a wireless network? Any network problems?

This is not a wireless setup.  I am ripping cds using MC on the server side and also playing music.  Does this interfere with the client side when it assesses the music?

It shouldn't interfere. What happens on the client side?

Nothing it just stops it the middle of a song.   One time I didn't restart the client and after a certain amount of time (about 30 minutes), it restarted on its own!

Next time it happens, on the client, open a DOS window and type "netstat -n".
Copy and paste the results here.
