Slightly OT: How to 'fix' MP3 length
« on: February 08, 2004, 06:33:19 am »

I have ripped the audio from a DVD using DVD Audio Extractor. It correctly plays but although it is approx 27 mins, it reports that it is several hours long, so dragging MCs position bar doesn't work properly. How can I fix the mp3? I've tried MC's analyze audio, but no effect.

Thanks.

it might depend on what version your using.

also there is a few programs that fix headers.

One of them i use is called "Helium 2 Pro" Another One Of Them Is "MP3\Studio"

Fixing VBR-Headers is a very basic function for everyone who handles MP3. It would be a very useable feature in MC. A broken or false VBR Header causes crashes in my MC.
Please, think of an implemention of the fixing-function, maybe in the Analysing Modul or elsewhere. I donīt think it's a big deal.
Please

Thanks to all. I found the VbrFix tool worked a treat.
