New 'Sync' mjextman.exe command
« on: February 10, 2004, 10:08:32 am »

I was wondering if it was possible to add a new mjextman command to sync a portable device.

like possibly mjextman.exe  /Command Sync C
Where C is the letter of the portable drive.

If you could implement that it could greatly automate things.  For starters you could create a desktop shortcut to just sync the iPOD when you select it.

In addition, I'm working on writing a program or XP service to detect an iPOD being plugged in and run a command of your choice (ie. the mjectman sync command).

I don't have much reason to write the program unless I could get it to auto-sync when an iPOD is plugged in.

As an additional, less important, request would be an option to set it to shutdown MC after the sync is completed, so that it would sync then eject iPOD & close.

Is this something that can be implemented?

Thanx

Actually, a "Sync & Eject" command or "Auto Eject after Sync" option would be great.
