Media Center 10 AND Portable Drive Handheld Devices
« on: February 21, 2004, 01:56:50 pm »

I use a Sony Clie, and the mp3 import function acts like a portable drive. The only problem is the Clie can only read Mp3s that are in a certain folder, and since Media Center, when transferring music automatically sends it to the root folder of the drive, it's kind of painstaking to physically transfer the music to one folder each time I do it. Is there any way I can change the folder the music goes to when sending it to a portable device drive?

I use
MEDIA CENTER 10 V 10.0.73

I'm not sure, but I think you can set the root folder.

The handheld support has been broken but now seems almost back together.  Make sure you try the latest builds.

Imran,

Right click on your portable drive letter, and you will see an option for 'Select Root Folder'. You can use this option to designate a root folder where all files will go. Also check out the optional folder creation options based on tags.
