Media Editor Menu Bug
« on: February 25, 2004, 02:30:17 am »

Media Editor (at least through 10.0.76) has an annoying bug. If you open two files simultaneously, say you want to paste some music from one file into the other. Then if you Save and close either file, notice the menu now only has three items left on it, and on the remaining File menu, there is no save or save as function. So the file that remains open in Media Editor is orphaned without a way to save it.
There is a workaround: Open another file, which restores the full menu set... but closing one will cause the same disappearing menu items again. So the problem seems to be that if you open multiple files and close any of them, Media Editor thinks there are no other files remaining open, thus it shows only the abbreviated initial menu (the one used to first open a file when first running the program).

Second issue: I can't open a .wma in Media Editor. I get a decoding error. I must convert it to Wave in MC first; this is actually less of a hindrance than the menu issue.
