John - I was able to replicate the bug (once so far). Here's what I did:
1. Turned on PC, logged in, with PCI CD-ROM drive plugged in.
2. Inserted Audio CD into drive, closed it.
3. MJ automatically kicked open, popped up a window saying it was checking with YADB (I was not connected to Internet).
4. Told me it couldn't connect. I clicked OK.
5. It showed me the eight tracks on the album, twice.
6. I clicked on the CD icon (the CD in the drive) on the right hand menu.
7. MJ redisplayed only eight tracks (like it should).
8. I highlighted all tracks and clicked play icon.
9. It started to play track 1, but the YADB window popped open again, said it couldn't connect.
10. When I clicked OK, MJ crashed, giving me the "mediajukebox.exe blah, blah saving to error log" message.
