Is there any way to set up a button or a hotkey that will switch list styles between album thumbnails and details (automatic)? I'm lazy enough that I don't see my carefully groomed collection of cover art as often as I would if it only took one step.

Switching from one view scheme to another works, except that it loses my place. Am I missing a quick and easy alternative?

ugh...don't get me started! I've been looking for this too, since version 9. It was available for about 3 days, so I know it is technically possible. Hopefully a request from a new user will generate some renewed interest in making this possible again. The lack of the ability to go immediately from one view to another makes working with MC's strengths very tedious and the need for an integrated album and details view that much more necessary.

Fex, thanks for linking the thread, I set this up a while ago and while nice, I just want to go from list view to Album thumbnail with a single click or key command, that's all, nothing fancy. The workaround doesn't work around 80% of why I need to do this.

I'm just keeping my fingers, toes, and eyes crossed that this is part of the 30% that hasn't been revealed yet. Lets hope for the sake of others on the road that the release comes soon.

I am waiting this feature for a long time. I am happy not being the only one.

I would also like to see toolbar buttons for very common library tools. I dont understand why seems so difficult to add button to "fill properties from filename", "rename file from properties", "move/copy files", and so on.

Hmm. Make a request, get a promise from the developer about twelve hours later that a responsive feature will be added, and reason to think it might be within a day or two.

You guys blow me away. Granted, there's a history on this one that I wasn't aware of, but from where I sit it appears you guys are doing magical things to be responsive.

I thought it was already there.  Ctrl + U if I remember rightly though I can't check it now.  Perhaps someone else could...

In 9.0, there was a style called "Thumbnails (Album group if logical)". This showed a thumbnail for each album, unless only one album was visible, in which case it showed a thumbnail for each track. This is pretty close to what you're after, yes? Is there any way to do this with 10.0?

Incidentally, Ctrl-U does cycle though view modes.

I/We were asking for direct access, not a cycling toggle. I always loose count, and frankly don't want to interact with any software that requires me to count when I use a toggle switch. Though it is difficult to hold a beer, manipulate a mouse and perform the key commands at the same time (that's why God created buttons), for me, it has been one of the most welcome "new" features introduced in v 10.

Is there anyway they can be accessed through direct toolbar button(s) as well?   Sort of similar to the way the Theater View list/thumbnail button allows single click access to various modes.  In this case, multiple buttons for each mode would be fine.  I know that list style can be added, but that requires navigating and clicking to get to the submenu.

Actually, thinking about it, perhaps having the ability to add generic toolbar buttons which can be customized to any keyboard equivalents might add flexibility without having to create buttons for every item someone might want.
