Cleaning File Properties
« on: March 06, 2004, 02:32:12 pm »

When cleaning file properties, MC (v. 10) moves all mp3 and photo files into a  new/clean folder, but leaves the other files in the old folder.  And then you are prompted to delte empty folders.  Currently, those folders are not empty there are .nfo files inside. When cleaning files I would like all my files to be moved in to the new folder.  Yet, still have the default prompt to delete empty folders.  Is there an available option customize it my way?

Would anybody consider creating a plug-in that can convert .nfo files to a basic .jpg? which can then be used to display the file info in the display while playing the album.  This would be handy, because some .nfo files contain artist/album bio's.

I think this would be a really nice feature i.e. when Renaming files from properties it would be nice to have an option to move all other files in that directory (i.e. those that are not imported into MC) into the new folder.

King, clean file properties does perform the function that I stated.

Please try, this: put a mp3 in a folder and put an underscore in the filename so that MC will clean it. Also throw a .txt. or .doc inside that folder. Then choose clean file properties. You will see that MC does not carry all files over into the newly created folder.
