o/t - maybe. calling video pro's
« on: March 28, 2004, 01:21:42 am »

i have a bunch of media ripped into various modes (XVid, DivX, Avi etc.). i seem to recall that MC had a few modes that let me alter the aspect ratio of the playback (eg. full screen, 1.33 to 1, etc.)

Have these been removed (i can only find them when im playing a DVD now) or am i missing something? Otherwise is there any way i can stretch the image to aviod watching a letterbox film on a widescreen TV.

Mastiff / Xen - i know you both use MC for videos

thanks

pip...

I'll have to play around with that aspect of MC. Seems to always maximize playback size. That WaveTwisters mpeg is 720x480...which MC stretches out to wide screen. I actually like MC's playback of this mpeg over PowerDVD's...which in fullscreen mode is 4x3 and I can't set to it's true format (3:2) or even widescreen.

Rx

edit: also going to try AGK today...thanks for the tip

in the light of day i was even more sure that MC used to have an aspect ratio option for video files. So i rolled back MC to version 10.0.83 and i was right. When the video was playing you could right click > aspect ratio > then choose from original or various different formats.

So the question is what happened / why has it been removed?

J River - Please put it back...
