Problem with Media Jukebox 8.0
« on: July 29, 2003, 09:09:13 am »

Hello,

Excuse me if my english is not very good but i'm French

I've got a problem usin MJ, I have no sound on the rear out of my Sound card (Hercules Gamesurround Muse XL).
I've got no problem using Windows media player, but i'd prefer using MJ8.
The only way for having sound on the rear speakers is to launch a test in the sound properties of the control panel (i'm using Windows XP Home), during the test, the sound comes on the rear speaker and disappears when i close and open again MJ8  :-[

Could someone help me please?  ?

Thanks

Your English is fine.  Is there a setting for that in your sound card setup?

In fact, for this soundcard, there is no application provided to configure it, the only way to change parameters is to use Multimedia and sound controls (don't know if this is the right term in english versions of windows) of the windows control panel (this is clearly said in the soundcard manual).

In this section of the control panel, i selected quadriphonic speakers, but i have no more setting available.
