No audio when using Media Server
« on: April 04, 2004, 02:17:07 pm »

I bought a new wireless card for my laptop, and since setting it up, I've not been able to use the media server (which is running on my main PC). I can browse to the files on my PC and play them with Media Center but when attempting to open and play the files via the library, the files play, but there is no sound. The only thing that's set up differently with this new card is that I turned on WEP on my wireless router. Would this have any effect on how files are streamed to my laptop? Everything else that uses IP works perfectly.

Any ideas?

WEP should be all or nothing - if you can connect, it is not the problem. Make sure you can play a song without media server (locally).
