Handheld Paths Not Configurable in v10?
« on: April 06, 2004, 09:48:46 pm »

I try to use v10 to write audio files to an SD card I use in my PalmOS handheld.  The audio player I use wants to see the audio files written to a specific subdirectory of the SD card.

If I use the Handheld feature in v10, it insists on writing to the root directory of the SD card.  Is there a way to tell v10 to write to a specific directory of the card?

I've tried the "Convert Format" feature, this does allow writing to a user specified directory, but it seems to be much slower at writing to the SD card because it converts directly to the target directory.  The Handheld feature seems like the right mode, but it should allow writing to a user specified target diretory.

Without this simple addition, v10 support for PalmOS audio players is severely limited.

Does anyone out there have another method for this?

TestingGuy,

Don't know if this is what you mean but if you do a right mouse click on your device you have the option to set the root directory for the file transfer!
